Sako 995 30-06 value synthetic?

Had one in 338 lapua mag. Sako's version of a Sendero. Great bean field or seismic rifle, heavy as heck to walk. Only way I would walk that now is if I had my ex wife along to carry it.....so I wouldn't.

Anyways, totally different caliber, almost a different rifle. I sold mine for too little at $1700 bare rifle.

Wow 1700.00. I bought mine used. It was a trade in. I believe I paid 600.00 for it in the mid 90's.

Think I sold it here on CGN for 550.00.

I thought in the day they only made it in 30-06, 300WM, and 338 Lapua. Far different rifle from the TRG of the early 2000's.

It would be worth more than this one.......

Ever see one break clean like that?? - Hint - be very careful with your rifle...

This was my M995 in 270 win.

Was a tack driver, consistently cut the same hole at 100m, clover leaf at 200m with my reloads and/or Nitrex 130 grain ammo
Until one day it broke...it slowly slid down the front of my shooting bench, inside a soft case, when I was setting 3 rifles on the bench
I had it pinned to the bench with my knee, as my hands were full.
When I opened the case, only the back half came out...

Clearly there was a fault line right where it snapped, at the back action screw.

Sako (Stoeger?) no one wanted to do anything for me, they wanted $800 for a replacement stock...6 month wait time..

Last Sako I will own.

Also last synthetic stock rifle I have owned

And Nowarningshot is right = heavy SOB to carry for sure. Heaviest rifle I ever had
