This was my M995 in 270 win.
Was a tack driver, consistently cut the same hole at 100m, clover leaf at 200m with my reloads and/or Nitrex 130 grain ammo
Until one day it broke...it slowly slid down the front of my shooting bench, inside a soft case, when I was setting 3 rifles on the bench
I had it pinned to the bench with my knee, as my hands were full.
When I opened the case, only the back half came out...
Clearly there was a fault line right where it snapped, at the back action screw.
Sako (Stoeger?) no one wanted to do anything for me, they wanted $800 for a replacement stock...6 month wait time..
Last Sako I will own.
Also last synthetic stock rifle I have owned
And Nowarningshot is right = heavy SOB to carry for sure. Heaviest rifle I ever had
