Sako A7 discontinued.

Tough to compete with tikka when tikka has so much aftermarket support.

Yes, the T3 had a 12 year head start on the A7.

The A7 had been getting more aftermarket support but too late.

With recent prices for new stainless synthetic T3's hitting the $1000 mark the price gap between the 2 narrowed.

I'll bet Sako won't replace the A7. The T3 has that price slot.

You’re gona love that A7 in .308, wouldn’t trade it for a Tikka, just picked up another .270 with extra mag for $1000, cant beat the bang for the buck, too bad it was discontinued!

Is tikka still using the standard length action for short action calibers, just using a shorter mag and bolt stop?

Good to hear, I did a trade deal for mine. I have shot the tikka and loved them. Love the bolts on them. What sold me on the Sako was the short action, shorter bolt throw and being able to open the bolt with the safety on. Also like the cheekpad on the stock. Topping it with my Nikon Monarch 3 4-16x50 BDC. Hoping for a good shooter!
