$599 is less than current cost by quite a bit.
Its a limited number they are putting on sale for Saturday. I think their regular price is around 680 or so, the blued regular price is 599....

I just bought a SS/Syn Tikka in .270 Win for $739 two weeks ago. Glad to hear I god a deal!
I agree that stock is running low though, called just about every place in Canada on my list & I found only two. One in Edmonton was the new price - $950!
Just so happened that my local shop was the only other place that had one. Took a little dickering, but I got him down to $739 from $829.
Apparently, these are rare as hen's teeth these days!

I just got the T3 Hunter Stainless too! What a beautiful rifle eh? I had to search around for 2 months to find one in Canada.

Two weeks ago, I picked up my T3 Stainless in 308 for $669 (back ordered in January 2008. The current list price is $895.
They jacked up the Borwning and Sako prices the same.
Back in 2006 a friend in an Ontario gun shop where I deal offered me a new T3 Lite Stainless 9.3x62 for under $500, I went for it and with dies and a bag of Norma brass, tax in ended up just a whisker under $600.
To this day that was the best deal I've ever made on a hunting rifle.
With a 2x7 Leupold in Optilock mounts it is a 7lb tackdriver with every bullet weight tried. Even after replacing the "concrete" rubber pad with a Kick-eze recoil can still rattle a 63 yr. old's dentures.
I do wish the receiver top was a bit more open but I can live with it.
All in all if I were half as happy with some of my more expensive hunting rifles I'd never complain.

I got the last 22-250 they had a few weeks ago
.....can't beat the price for a SS Sako...even in a plastic stock......if I didn't already have one in 6.5 Swede I would order one in 25-06.....

Sometimes the stores will have other calibers at the same price, they're just not listed in the catalogue. The last time I was in the Ottawa store, they had a whole bunch of old-stock Win 70's out back, that weren't listed in the catalogue/web-site at all.
Sakos are made of flimsy parts with stocks no one likes? Sakos have lovely stocks and do not seem flimsy to me. Light in a tikka doesnt necessarilry mean flimsy. I like the plastic clip on a Tikka and the guns seem to last through hard usage and are accurate for the price.
Isn't it amazing how many Tikka Lites and Sakos are going out the door, considering they are just made of flimsy plastic parts and has a stock that no-one likes?
