The A7 is a better gun. See here for all the reasons why: http://www.biggamehunt.net/reviews/sako-a7-review. Up to you to determine if those reasons are worth the price difference for you. FWIW, I think the A7 is worth the extra $$$. Note it will cost you more to mount a scope on the T3 (Optilock) than the A7 (Weaver), so that closes the price gap some.

I have a T3 stainless/synthetic in 30-06. Own a number of heavy recoiling magnums and i found the recoil excessive with vanilla factory loads. They truly are very light, which is excellent for walking, but harsh on recoil. If you buy a T3, consider the $50 price tag of a good recoil pad to be a part of the true cost. I went Limbsaver, and the gun now behaves like a 243, low recoil, excellent accuracy.
Very happy with my purchase, have no experience with the A7.
T3 doesn't come in short action A7 does.
I have T3 in 22-250 and love it but I'm going to go A7 in 7mm 08.
^^ That's one situation where Tikka has their head up their ass.. equipping their rifles with a long enough magazine to hold rounds that use up the chamber space. Pretty simple concept, WTF? A shooting bud in town here has a Tikka Tactical shoots like a laser but he has to single shoot it with his best handloads.![]()
I think I'm going to Head down the Sako road thank you all for all the help
