sako a7

I have a A7 in 300wsm and my buddy has the 300 win mag. Very nice guns, only down side I've found is the spare detachable mag is around 120 bucks and they need a limbsaver or such recoil pad because they come with the same hockey puck as Tikka. And yes I think the general consensus is the Remington quality control is way down, but they are still making some fine firearms.

thanks gringo, was looking at rem 700 sps buckmaster in a 300 win mag, but the sako a7 with scope deal is looking good, just with the a7 weight is 6 1/2 so the recoil with that hockey puck and plastic shroud hemm.....what to buy

haha pickles, yup i want to be done with it. was checking out the savage line up and sako has a great deal on the a7 stainless with a burris scope 3x9x40 the scope retails for about 250-320, the savage package is bottom of line scope.....so the a7 seams to be a better deal

hey gringo, thanks and yes i think the a7 is the best bet...cheers

Ive had an A7 for a few years.....I cant speak for newer ones that are supposed to have an upgraded stock but The standard recoild pad that came with mine is not a hockey puck that being said I would upgrade it before shooting a 300WM. its ok for a .270 / 7-08 etc.

As for your second question...I think its been covered in many posts. if you're worried about the current crop then buy an older one.

thanks every one well went for the Sako A7 in a 300 win mag, recoil pad doesn't feel that bad with that being said find out soon.
