Some people don't, or just won't, like the A7, for a variety of reasons.
That's ok. That's why there's so many choices.
I know that if I get a clean look at any deer or moose within 200 yards with my 7-08, it's a goner. Good enough for me. Light and short, and accurate.
I have other things in the safe for more open country and longer ranges, but really, I don't think I've ever shot anything further than 200 yds anyways.

Not likely, the model 70 is very nice but the price of the rifle is quite a bit more than the deal i got
They make an A7 in lumber now? Last I looked they were plastic and slightly over $1000.
EDIT: I see - you mean the Tikka.
Yeah. Again, I was comparing the A7 to the EW. The Tikka may represent the better bargain for you.
