Millett makes, or at least used to make, a set of rings for the Sako A actions. I had a couple of sets and preferred them to the original Sako rings because they gave me a little extra bit of eye relief, which I needed on the rifle/scope combinations that I was using (I have a long neck). I'm pretty sure that they were just the standard Millett rings, but they came with a pair of small adapters that sat between the rings and the grooved receiver. I installed them carefully, following the directions to the letter, and they gave me years of good service. I still have a set on a .222 Sako that haven't been removed in over twelve years, and they are still rock solid. Another set survived at least 9 or 10 years on a .375 Sako and went with the gun to a new owner who is also apparently happy with them. Much cheaper than Sako rings and at least as attractive.
