I normally wouldn't do this, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a fair number. Bluing is damn near perfect and the full length stock is ( if it weren't for 3 minor safe kisses and I think I can steam those out) in perfect condition. I can't find a rub or scratch anywhere. There is also a Leupold Vari-X-II 3-9 scope on it that looks like it it was on another rifle before (some paint loss), but it is still in good working order. The only reference I can find to value it, is Prophet River has one on consignment. They want $2500 (SakoAVMannlicher).

this might not help but I have one of those rifles (and original box) in excellent ++ condition (bluing is perfect and wood is too) and would not sell it for less than $2500 unless I was very desperate. I cannot imagine what comes close to the capability of this rifle. It is in the group of ‘last to sell’

Doesn't matter what you think it's worth. List it, if it doesn't sell, then no one else thinks it's worth what you do. Like auctions, only 1 person believes the item is worth the final price.

They WANT $2500.00 for it. By the looks of of it, it's still for sale so what does that tell you? Like emerson said, list it and see what happens. I personally wouldn't hold my breath and expect to see $2500.00 for it though.

Owning one of those Sakos makes you a member of an Elite club. :) They don't make em like that any more, which accounts for their value.

That kinda what I figured. Seemed high to me and its been there a while from what I can tell. Guess I'll have get some nice pics and get her listed. Thanks!

I guess the 600 bucks I paid for mine at Russels Sporting Goods many years ago was worth it? It came complete with Sako rings and mounts.

That was in the day when Remingtons and Winchesters were a couple of hundred bucks less. :)

Reliable Gun has a Brno ZKK 602 for sale on their site for $3500. That gun isn't worth more than $1200 and its been for sale since the beginning of summer. Your Sako AV .375H&H is worth between $1000 - $1400. I sold one recently in .338WM for $1000 in very good condition with Leupold 1-4x20. That one at Prophet is a consignment so its not their pricing. Just like the price of that Brno at Reliable. In both situations, you would be better off getting a new CZ 550 Safari or a new Sako 85 Brown Bear or Kodiak.

I have a Sako AV Hunter model in very good condition, about 1990 production. I don't think it's fair market value is anywhere near $2500. But that's the market and how much will it bear so if a guy wants it bad enough I'll take his money. ;)

To compare a hunter , used, with a full stock new in box version is not a fair comparison when it comes to price.
