SAKO Brass

Lapua is now my go to brass in the rifles I take serious interest in for hunting and target shooting.

That being said, I seriously miss the old Dominion Cartridge Co. brass from the sixties. I have some of that stuff with over 60 reloads on each piece.

The Lapua seems to be just as good. The thing is, I don't have another lifetime to find out.

Sako brass I have, is every bit as good as Lapua brass.

It should be, they're both made in Finland and their parent company is Beretta Holdings.

It depends on why you are reloading. If it is for precision rifle shooting out to long ranges then go for quality brass. If it is for under 200M hunting, use whatever you can get your hands on.

Ya it's for long range shooting. For hunting i'll stick with my Hornadys :p

A lot of people online mention that lapua brass is good. I'm really happy to hear that too in this thread, it kinda seals the deal for me. I have tons to learn since i haven't loaded not one round yet but i want to avoid screwing it up so i'm reading up as much as possible before i touch anything

I'm looking to get into reloading in the next few months. I want to reload for .308 and " I read that Sako has the best brass around " (i'm open to reccomendations since i'm new to this...). Unfortunately I can't find them anywhere.... does anywhere know where i buy them?

Thanks!

Hmm ! where did you read that ? RJ

I shoot Sako brass from my 270 Win. I purchased two boxes of ammunition, pulled the bullets, poured out the powder and full length sized the brass........a' voila, eh! If Lapua made 270 win brass, I would purchase them.
