Bring back the fibreclass, floorplate, and make it stainless.
I agree!!!!
Bring back the fibreclass, floorplate, and make it stainless.
Definitely a nice looking rifle in my opinion.
What I cannot get past, is the price...
A garden variety Finnlight is Roughly $2k
I'm supposed to pay an extra $1k for the pleasure of a carbon fiber stock......?
At $3k + I might as well build a custom.
Possibly when I'm 70 years old, jeez that will be in 12 years, I'll utilize a lightweight firearm, however; for now, I still pack a heavy rifle.
They won't make much sales in Canada, only two provinces have mountains.Yup, not as much need at lower elevations for sure. This rifle was built with mountain hunters in mind.
You are looking at at more than that to have an Edge put on a Finnlite. But yes, you are dancing in custom price range.
They won't make much sales in Canada, only two provinces have mountains.![]()
Wowza!!!
Which scalper are your buying your edge from??
Last I checked an edge is right around $700 landed in Canada.
Even if you were to pay someone to bed your rifle to your stock, the whole thing will come in well under $1k.
You may want to check again.
With the slumping Canadian dollar, the new export permitting required for McMillan stocks and the cost of installation....it's not hard to see how having one put on a Finnlite could cost more than a $1,000....regardless of gunsmith used....going back to my original point. Obviously doing it yourself would reduce the cost to likely under a grand but I specified having one installed so there there would be no confusion...a lofty dream I know.
I didn't realize that sako was having a gunsmith install all of those pretty stocks.
Sako is not paying $600 a piece for their stock either.
Huh? I don't recall saying either of those things. Someone said that the carbon fibre stock was a $1,000 upgrade...I said having an Edge installed on a Finnlite would be more than that....not sure what you are talking about.
I see a drop-in Edge on McMillan's website is $636 US now, so even if a person was to pick it up at McMillan in Arizona, you'd be hard pressed to get it for under $800 CDN, and that's assuming you're sleeping in your car that runs on air. Their prices are getting stupid, somebody else can have them for that much money.
Who would ever think the finnlight wasn't light enough lol
