Sako factory rings

Has anyone taken the "tang" off the rear ring of a set of original Sako rings and remounted it ahead of the tang slot on the receiver to obtain proper eye relief? Need to do this to accomodate a new scope and wondering if it can be done ??

I would think that you would be much better off buying a set of Leupold Sako rings and selling yours. You could get good money for original Sako rings.

I have a set of Sako Optilock Extensions rings that may do the trick for you, pm me if you'd like. I'd let them go cheap.
