Hey everyone, I recently acquired a very nice looking Sako Finnbear Deluxe 30-06 in a trade.

I haven't been able to find solid pricing online.

The cereal number indicates that it is a L61R manufactured between 1985 and 1989.

Any help would be awesome!
Thanks.

I cannot help you with the price but just want to congratulate you on the purchase. It is a really nice rifle. Good score in my book! :)

Unfortunately I will have to sell it. The girlfriend wasn't to happy when I was supposed to trade a gun for cash and another gun came home. lol

I had the same rifle.... we'll sort of. The previous owner decided instead of buying higher rings to allow his objective lens to clear the barrel, he would instead file the needed clearance on the barrel. At least I got it cheap.... lol

My god! It's unbelievable what some people will do. I bought a sako av that had the screw holes ground out on the barrel for the fore end site. I got it for a good price.

My buddy has the exact same rifle. His has a bunch of home made covers on it to protect it when he hunts.

Nice smooth action but the stock is way too thick and heavy for me.

For kripes sake.
When you figure you've hit the base line in stupidity you run into somebody even stupider.
Surprised he had brains enough to count the money you gave him.

I paid $1250 for mine four years ago. I think it was unfired.

They have gone up considerably due in part to the decline of our dollar. If a new Winchester Mod 70 is worth $1800.00 now, then by inference your Sako should sell for at least $2k.

Prices have gone nuts. Sometimes it feels like the twilight zone.

Well.... no one seems to be saying it so I will. There is no way I would sell it just because my girlfriend's not happy. Your not even married and she's telling you what to do with your money? I have never in my whole life asked permission of a girlfriend or wife to spend my own money on a gun, truck, motorcycle or anything else for that matter. You have to act responsible though, I always made sure that the bills were paid, that none of the kids were going hungry and the house didn't need paint before making a purchase but it was my money and I needed no ones permission to spend it. You need to get that sort of thing sorted out before marrying this gal or she will be spending your money for you for the rest of your life!

Nice rifle by the way.
