sako finnlight or winchester model 70 extreme ss

i'm not questioning the quality of the sako per say. i currently own a sako classic in 30-06 , and have been the owner of 4 others , including two deluxe model. i have never owner a model 70 and here in newfoundland where i live there isn't a shop i can go in to see one first hand. the finlight was my first choice but after hearing about ejection problems and it will cost me just shy of $1000 over the model 70 i'm going with the model 70. $1000 can put a nice leupold on top and i know the action will be trouble free. was going with the 338 win mag first but with a 26" barrel, the 30-06 was my choice. my 30-06 sako classic has never let me down on moose with my hand loads and the model 70 shouldn"t either. i got an older jc higgins model 50 in 270 from the fifties and the action is real slick. i never did care for the detachable clip, some around here really like them, but i call them road warriors. i don't think it's for how fast they can put a clip in the rifle for quick action it's mostly to get the clip full of rounds out of the rifle , when they meet the wardens on the road . i'm no fan of that and does my hunting on foot away from the roads like it should be done.

Ive owned both and would buy the Sako for the fact it has a detach mag. I also did not like stock on the Extreme. Sako also shot better but the Extreme was a solid MOA gun. I think overall the Extreme is better built rifle but has its downfalls.
