looks like i'm soon going to invest in a new sako 85 finnlight in 30-06 . have heard a few mixed reviews of ejection problems with the 85 finnlight? planing on topping it off with either a leupold vx3 2.5x8x36 or most likly the vx3i 3.5x10x40. what do you think of this set up / and what would you suggest for the best scope mounts?do any of the different mounts help with the ejection troubles?
i currently have a sako classic av 30-06 and a sako deluxe av 338 win mag. both real nice, but thinking going lighter , seems those days they are just getting harder to carry up our hills and through our bogs after moose here in Nl.

i use the leupold mounts on my sako no troubles at all .

I have 3 Sako 85's
308 win, 270 win and a 300 win mag and have not had any ejection problems.

Anyway I like them, I'd suggest buying one used though.

I have never had a ejection problem with my 85 finnlite in 6.5x55. I have a 30mm scope with a turret sticking out on the right side. No problems.

I just bought a Finnlite in 300 wsm and I am thinking of the VX3i 3.5x10x40 also.
Alot of good reviews on that scope I think it will be a good setup..kelly

I've been seriously considering one of these rifles the last week in 7mm MAG, but am weary of the 85 action/ejection. I read too much. Anyone shoot a 7mm and can comment?

My son just bought a Sako 85 in 270 wsm. Do you have a Leupold part number for those ring mounts?
