My L61R looks just like Johnn's AIII .270 but is in 30-06. It is one of the smoothest, most accurate, easy to shoot rifles I have ever owned. It holds point of impact year after year even with the full length walnut stock. It shoots 165 and 180 grain ammo from any maker or hand load that I have tried into virtually the same good group. It is also too heavy, kinda awkward looking with the overly square edges on the stock, but is very, very well built. For me it is a keeper.
