I was out the other day to look at a Winchester Hi Wall and the gentlemen also has a Sako Vixen L461 rifle in 222, so as any good gun nut I have them both. The gun is in very good condition but not sure on the value, is there any market for these and what is ball park value. I will try ot post a picture of it in the next couple of days. The front sight and hood are not there only the ramp and no rear sight but has a scope so has rings.
Any information is helpfully

The high wall is in 38/55 and was made in 1886 second year and is a keeper

Thanks
John

Quality pictures are more helpful... they made standard versions and deluxe, light barrels and heavy...

This is mine. Its a L461 Vixen Varmiter. The other two models are a deluxe and sporter I believe. Those would fetch more money than mine if in excellent condition like mine. I have been offered a thousand for mine several times (without optics). I have to admit though, those offers were from people who had sentimental feeling for this model. I stole it for $600 with bases and rings off an old friend.

I will get some pictures in the next couple of days, the gun is a sporter with the light barrel and I believe it is the standard model
Thanks for the help so far
John
