Sako L579 ,your opinions please

I just picked up a L579 chamber in 243win, I really like this rifle, just looking for opinions on it, any problems i should be looking for? thanks

It's a Sako, it will be fine. Pull the firing pin out and make sure it's clean & rust free. Got a L461 once that had a pin that was all rusty & dirty inside the bolt. Clean the barrel, oil the action & it should be good to go.

The biggest problem is that Sako quit making them in favor of making cheaper rifles that made bigger margins of profit.
The L579s and L61Rs are some of the best that Sako ever built. Quality wise light years beyond the new 75, 85 and such.

My 579 in 22-250 has approximately 18,000 rounds throught the action. Nary a hiccup since 1973 when I bought it.
