Does anyone have any information on a SAKO rifle model L581. From what I have read, they are a rare model and not many were produced. The one I was looking at was a 308, it has a detachable box magazine, folding front and rear sights, and six locking lugs on the front of the bolt. I would like to find out what a reasonable price would be for this rifle in very good to excellent condition. Any information on this rifle would be appreciated.

I know they arent very common. I believe they are the same rifle as the tikka 551. Rembo knows more about them, but I think they were some sort of collaboration between the two (sako/tikka) but I read they were discontinued because the cost of manufacturing them was too high to price them competitively. Since you don't see them very often they are hard to price, kinda worth what someone is willing to pay. One thing to keep in mind, is parts are probably slightly less plentiful than hens teeth if you ever need some.
