OK, so essentially roughly a CA$2500 scope if imported by Prophet River (US$2000) which makes the rifle around $12500. That's only $200 less than I was quoted for the rifle alone from a local dealer, so no shipping costs. Not much of a saving?? And I'm sure if I had cash in hand, I would get a better deal from my dealer.

Still way too much for a single caliber rifle. Compared to the PSR AI's you sold for $17500 (which at the time I thought was too expensive), those PSR's now seem to have been a bargain.

What calibers in the M10 are you selling? What's the price of barrel conversion kits? Bipod, muzzle break?

Thanks

So who's the dealer? Better make sure they are an accredited SAKO dealer, as any rifles purchased from a dealer who isn't have no warranty etc here in Canada. Pricing is set by SAKO on these rifles.

Grumpy, yes they are SAKO "dealers", but that wasn't really the point of my post. I don't have an issue with what YOU guys are charging for the M10 - more an issue that Beretta mothership is crazy with their pricing on these rifles - here, in the US and in Europe. I was merely pointing out that Stoeger Canada aren't doing you or us too much of a favour to "jump" on this "deal", as the rifle is still over $12000 even for this "limited time deal". And once you've added extra barrel kits, muzzle break and bipod, this becomes a seriously expensive rifle setup. BUT, that's just my personal opinion - to each his own. :)

Oh, btw, I quoted the $12700 price I was given before you posted your pricing, so I wasn't trying to bash your prices AFTER you posted them. LOL

I would MUCH rather by an AX MC from you guys - much better value and essentially the same kind of setup. Way cheaper and doesn't stand back for any other offerings. And the jury is still out on these Steiners... Too many guys in the US complaining about them - so I guess we'd need to see how Steiner deal with the niggles. :)

Grumpy,

Any 1 time deal pricing on Sako accessories for these rifle for potential buyers and current owners. You know, bipods, magazines, etc. I have a TRG-22 in .308 and would really like 4 extra mags for it.

Thanks

Speaking from personal experience Stoegers Warranty dept. is useless and wont treat you any better if you buy from an Authorized Sako Dealer.

x2 on this. I would purchase at least 2 mags for my TRG 22 at a somewhat reasonable price.

Are they still $250.00 or have they gone up? They are very fine metal mags. I shudder to think what the M10 mags go for?

That's the killer in my mind with Sako, the cost of the accessories. The rifle base price is just the beginning. Add in scope mounts / dedicated tripod / butt spacers and 5 more mags and that is the true price.

You can see why there is a thriving independent custom rifle market with prices like this. Don't get me wrong I love Sako / Tikka and have a number of them, but the gouge still hurts.

Candocad.

CGN'ers,

FYI...I just got a price quote from Wolverine on TRG-22 magazine cost today. Retail price is $310.00 per magazine, reference for people looking at getting one of these rifles, accessories will hurt the wallet.

Cheers
