yes thats what im talking about. 210 gr lead core copper jacket and copper base the dont make em this small anymore i thinkg they start at 35 cal now

the picture i posted was found via google just to show that 210 barnes the lenght of 250 noslers

any increase in muzzle velocity acheived by loading the 210gr partition with a bit more powder will been soon diminished downrange due to its stumpier shape and on impact when it sheds 40% of its weight, compared to a Barnes X :)

under 200 yds at resonable impact velocites any heavy bullet will do fine in this cartridge .
 
I have'nt loaded fo my Tikka 3 in .338 fed yet, but since it groups .5 for 3 shots , I probably won't. I have noticed that shooting it off the bench , it does give you a good boot. I use the 185 Barnes Federal load. More importantly, I really want one of those " Ilove PETA" stickers that you have on your gun. That is ultra cool.

With groups like that I'd be leaving it right the fawk alone!!!

As for the stickers...just email them and tell them you're a poor college student who can't afford to buy stickers to put on your binder :kickInTheNuts:

EDIT- What are you paying for the Federal Factory stuff?
 
i know i cant afford to buy factory loads for the 338f. 50 plus tax
i think my loads cost 71 cents each since bullets were so cheap ,using free 308 brass, and im using same powder i burn in my 30-30 . h335 which i had bought 8lbs of on sale

all my magnums cost over a dollar a shot
 
I use "OF" .308 Brass
Powder= 46/7000 costs me next to nothing
Bullets= thats the big expense...1$ each...i got 225 SST's comin....much less
Primers...too little to count..

Worst part is finding guys.... which guy stocks .338 cal
