SAKO Optilock question

Hi fellas,

I just picked up a used 85 Finnlight which has the Optilock system on it. However...the copolymer inserts are not there and the seller doesn't have them either. DOes anyone have any kicking around (shot in the dark) or does anyone know of somewhere that stocks just the copolymer insert? I really don't want to have to spend the full cost to replace the rings just to get the inserts.

Thanks!

I just installed a set of these and I have to say they are the most overly complex rings and bases I have ever dealt with for what they do. I love my Sako rifle but the optilock system is about 7 miles past retarded down a very messy road.

Back to the OP question I'd also recommend contacting Stoeger, I've been able to get oddball parts from them in the past without issue.

Agreed.... far too heavy and complex simply to enable cross compatibility between Sako tapered dovetails and Tikka parallel dovetails. The insert is excellent but Burris has a far better implementation of the concept. AND the insert is far too prone to breakage.

No kidding. They are over-engineered, and with a ridiculous price tag! At least the next-best up the ladder, Millet mounts, are cheap!
