I am living in Calgary, AB (though I spend the majority of my time overseas these days) and I'm looking at picking up a Sako Quad for some fun plinking (still debating between a .22lr and .17 hmr, but that's not the focus of this thread).

Are there any dealers in Calgary that stock the Sako Quad rifle? If not, whats my next best bet for picking up a Sako Quad rifle?

Thanks,

kthomas

I've been looking at the Sako quad too, seems they are few and far between. Check Prophet River as they seem to get a few in with every order.

I've been looking at their site, don't see any listed right now. I may give them a call later and see if they have on hiding somewhere. Thanks!

*Edit - there's a quad hunter on their site. Not the style I'm looking for, but a heads up for anyone else searching for one!

I got a line on a potential Sako Quad rifle in SK, just waiting to hear back from the shop.

For anyone who is interested in a composite stock Sako Quad in .22lr, they have one at Sportsmen Den in Red Deer.

I'm being picky, looking for the wood stock "varmint" model.

If anyone is interested in a Sako Quad Hunter in .22lr, PM me. I found a store that has one in stock and is willing to ship.

I am looking for the Varmint model, which is why I'm letting that one go.

saw a couple of these at cabela's wpg a while ago

stoeger is the Sako wholesaler, so any gun shop who sells sako can order any current model sako. and stoeger can import it, and get it to them….. if the desire is there.

Check out flys etc. In high river. Udo has the best prices of anyone around. If he doesnt have it, he can get it in a short time.

I ended up ordering the Sako Quad from Udo at Flys etc. Their supplier's warehouse is out of stock and not expecting any until August, so I'll just have to be patient.

I considered getting a CZ 455, but in the end I figured I would have regretted not getting the Sako. The heart wants what the heart wants right?!

You made the right choice. Hopefully one you are looking for comes in. If not you can have it in a year, as that is what it takes to special order what you want. You can get it, it just takes time.
