Sako Quad Range

I think you may have seen the Tikka Sporter. Very similar in appearance. Was just informed by my supplier that Sako Quad Range will be avail in Canada next year (unless import from US). The UK listed price is £1700... a mere $3k. Sheesh.
And it is 2025, I have seen two for sale in all the years I have been on CGN.
Almost bought the first one I found as the guy was going through a divorce and needed to downsize some assets.
The second was was here on CGN and I do not recall the exact time frame, but it sold rather quickly .
That or the owner pulled it before sellers remorse became an issue.
I am sure there are one or two in members safes on cgn, would be nice to see some and their targets

The Sako Range doesn't seem to be a model that is often seen. They are on the expensive side.
In recent years there were a couple of Sako Range rifles in 22LR posted for sale in 2024 (one of them a P94S Range) and another in 2023 and in 2022. There has been at least one new one available at a retailer (I flirted with the idea of buying it) but in general they may be a special order model.

I bought the rifle new in december 2024.
Beautiful....very heavy....excellent set-trigger.
Target above shot last sunday; a bit cold and humid under the open roof of the range.
I mount a chinese copy of the Atlas bipod ($50.00 at the door) which does the job.
No rear bag.
Vortex Diamondback telescope 6x24x50.
I only shot it 3 or 4 times in cold weather.
I'll proceed to test other kind of ammo, but, when seeing above target, shot with cold fingers, using CCI Standard Velocity, I don't think more expensive ammo will do a better job and justify the expense for a few hours of fun plinking.
I will nevertheless and if really SK's shrink the group noticeably, I will make the move.

For anyone interested there is a Sako Quad Range in the EE as of earlier this morning (March02/25)
Oh and DanRR if you had been closer I have some RWS that might hve provided some interesting groups.
Seeing as the CCI shot well, I see no reason for the triple expense ...
