Sako ring height for L461 Vixen..Help?

What ring height can I get away with on my L461 Vixen in .222, regular barrel.

I'd like to get scope as low as possible, can I use low or medium rings?

Plan on using a Leupold 3-9x40 or 4-12x40, possibly a Bushnell 3200 4-12x40

Are Millet rings serviceable or complete garbage?

Millet are garbage IMO. Low Leupolds would probably do the trick.

Sako low or xtra low...depending on the scope and barell. Pull up the Sako web site and check out the area regarding "optilock" rings. Sako breaks it down well with reference to scope/barrel clearance. I put a 6.5X20 Leupold LR on my Sako AI 222 with 30mm low mounts. Got them from Epps.

The old style Sako windage adjustable ringmounts in med height with the 3-9x40 Leupold Vari x II gives me minimum clearance, almost too low!
