I've had this little gem sitting around since last spring.....finally got around to swapping out the factory walnut for a McMillan and putting a 4-12X Leupold on top.....looks nice if I do say so myself..:D....it's an AI in .17 Remington...resized and primed 50 brass...might have time to load some up and hit the range tomorrow....I keep thinking that one of these years I'll have time to shoot a gopher......

Nice! I have a Sako Vixen 222. Had her re barreled years ago with a Gaillard as the old factory barrel was shot out. Shoots a half inch any day, often better! Your going to want more magnification for a gopher gun IMO. I have a Leupold 6.5X20 LR on mine. Great for taking heads off those sneaky little gophers that wont give a full body shot. Again nice iron.

shot the little Sako today....loaded up 19grs of IMR4198 under the 20gr VMax...first three shot group was .86"...on a very windy day...velocity ran as high as 4093fps......probably averaged about 4030 or so....

I think I might like it.....:D

This is the 5th Sako AI I've owned and I really should try and keep it....
