The kimber montana is the best rifle to carry up the side of a mountain IMHO. Can't loose the mag, and can't feel it on my back. That goat won't know if it shoot's 1 moa groups or .5 moa. Sako's are nice too, I own some of both. Don't discount the wood kimbers, they aren't very heavy either. The classic 8400 short mag rifle is around 6lbs 10oz., they have a floor plate and some nice lumber. The blued kimbers have a better track record than the montana's in the accuracy dept. The kimbers have one of the nicest factory triggers I have ever worked with. My 84M classic select .243 has a 1lb trigger with zero creep, I love that rifle!
