that's a nice looking rifle. I'd want it with a shorter barrel, cause I like shorter barrels, but I'm curious about it's weight. didn't see any info with that detail.

I'm a Sako guy, but this one doesn't do it for me - just not my thing. I will be curious to hear it's price which will probably determine the success of the rifle.

I dunno - there's something just "off" about the design. I guess the proof will be in the pudding, once it hits the market, to see if it performs as well as it's hyped to. Personally, I like the Bergara's looks better, but it will all boil down to performance.

A new look for Sako. The jury is out. The rifle has no visual appeal to me.

Three point connection of receiver to frame looks well engineered. I'll wager it is a brilliant (and costly) shooter.

They left the bottom of the bolt face intact, and added a plunger - a7 style.

Looks like a Tikka ,finally lost that stupid tapered dovetail. Added the a 7 plunger ejector and the the bottom half of the bolt ring ,way way over priced as usual .Euro stock design not for me.I would get a Tikka .

I for one am happy they're moving toward 1913 bases milled with the receiver. Hoping it could be an option for Tikka in the future.

I see that now, good idea. Still not big on that stock, and likely will be zero aftermarket...Perhaps they will bring this action in more configurations and discontinue the 85...

Looks like an evolved, overpriced Tikka. I've never been fond of thum-bhole stocks but it does look like it also has an available A5 style option. Some nice features for sure but I think price will be hard to swallow

300 win mag but no 300 PRC? They brag about their new s20 mags allowing for longer COAL for reloaders then give the 300wm an 11 twist and the 7mag a 9.5 twist?
If you're going to offer boomers at least build then to sling heavies.

Sako has always used a 1:11 twist on .30 cals for some reason.
