Driver's license to buy a mag? That's a first
I agree what's the drivers license needed for?Driver's license to buy a mag? That's a first for me...
Nope. If that was the case they would have to be documenting whos buying what.New laws. They want to track who's stock piling for the gun confiscation.
Weird... I currently have a new MDT mag on its way to me and I didn't have to send a photo of anything.. Ordered online from a major retailer...Nope. If that was the case they would have to be documenting whos buying what.
This is for PAL verification. Need PAL to buy a magazine since C21 last December, and apparently the Alberta CFO is telling stores they need to see a picture as part of validating the PAL.
This is separate from the NR Transfer/reference number stuff, no reference number needs to be created for magazine sales. At best, there is a record the a store checked your PAL is valid via the online system available to dealers.
Different stores have different requirements for verifying a PAL. There is no law that states a photo is required, all the law says is you must be licensed... But apparently the Alberta CFO is telling stores they need photos - that's what IRG told me when they asked me for one.Weird... PMags will be the far superior magazineHow do these compare to pmags?
My opinion differs as I'm not sure pmags are superior, let alone far superior.PMags will be the far superior magazine
Where they the gen 2s or gen 3s? I've read the polymer formula has changed with the new gen 3s. Havm't had an issue while using Gen 2s but I havm't used them much compared to standard issue STANAG mags. I do only use Magpul glock mags which have taken a good beating and never have had an issueMy opinion differs as I'm not sure pmags are superior, let alone far superior.
I'm issued pmags and they're fine until you drop them on a hard surface.
The ETS mags are reported to be more durable. As my ETS mags are personal purchase, I'm unwilling to drop test them.
Yes but if you’re a criminal, who acquired his firearm illegally, you’d likely be paralyzed with fear by removing the rivet!I bought 6 mags and they are very good quality for the price, except for the rivet job. Loaded five rounds in each and the rivet came loose in all of them, some fell out completely. They are counter sunk and it leaves very little material for the rivet to snug up against. Gotta love our stupid gun laws.
I’m actually not sure what generation they are. It’s whatever they give me. We went from all metal 20 rounders to the pmags in about 2012.Where they the gen 2s or gen 3s? I have never used ETS mags, but have also read zero good things about them. Lots and lots of negative reviews from all over.
Someone needs to tell the lazy Alberta CFO to pick up the phone & check the license himself, instead of jerking off to ####.Different stores have different requirements for verifying a PAL.
