Salient arms glock

As a rule I prefer stock..ish....but I honestly love my 'improved' g22....and now I have a caliber exchange kit coming for it, I'll shoot it even more......looking forward to seeing how it stacks up against my shadow.....does it add value....not much, did it make me want to buy it.....hell yes...I fell for its trickery....lol

Match fit this match fit that, it all equals bull#### to me. A competent pistol operator can lay down the same quality of work down range with a stock glock. I don't care how many videos they post of their guns super flat recoil in slow motion. All it is to me is cosmetic enhancements.

What did Black Box do to your G23 that made it better?
I've shot Gen2-4 Glocks and never thought they needed anything done except sights. I shot my buddy's Gen 2 G17 in a course against the instructor's tricked out G19 with RMS and the stock 17 was a way better gun.

I just had press check serrations done on the slide which is nice, tri top bevel, slide and frame were both cerakoted. Does it shoot better than when it was bone stock? No. The press check serrations were for functionality that's it, everything else is cosmetic. I opted out of stippling and the trigger guard undercuts because I feel I get a better purchase on the stock frame. To me the only thing glocks benefit from are new sights, as well as vickers mag releases for my Gen 3's.

Press check serrations are nice esp if you have sweaty hands. I'm glad you left the mechanicals alone.
I totally agree that Glocks only need proper sights. I have long thumbs so I don't need help with the mag release.
 
To each their own, if you want a modded Glock buy one if you dont then shoot a stock Glock or whatever else floats your baot. Personally I like modified stuff, my motorcycles are modified, my pickup is modified, my guns are modified etc etc. Not only do I like customizing stuff, I like working on guns and changing out parts, simply taking it apart to clean it doesnt seem to be enough I always have to tinker with stuff...

When I go to the range and see someone shooting a stock Glock I dont question why they would do such a thing, I just do my thing....And personally I own 2 fully modded ZEV Glock (19/17) and a 21 that has pretty much everything they make for it, they dont make slides yet otherwise Id buy it.....I also own a totally stock 19 and 17 also, and I never shoot them because I much prefer to shoot my modded ones...

Anyways about the guns, I originally wanted SAI, but found them a pain to deal with. Was getting too complicated and a really long wait, they also would only sell me a complete gun, were as ZEV sold me parts and complete gun.

I used IRUNGUNS to import all my stuff from ZEV, if you really want a SAI I suggest you do the same as I am pretty sure no one in Canada will have a SAI. No one did when I was looking less then a year ago anyways

I have had people question reliability in an emergency situation, well first of all there is no conceal and carry in Canada, all my guns are range guns, if it were to malfunction or break at the range Id just put it back in the case take it home and fix it. If there was ever a situation that I actually "needed" to use a gun, I have a few stock ones to choose from in that situation....So being a range only sport shooter I dont get the "oh but you made it less reliable" hating

The press check serrations rock. I'm a die hard glock guy I know the gun doesn't need every internal part replaced for Gucci ####. I've seen some poor glocks that had so much #### thrown in them for aftermarket parts they would barely function. Range gun or not there's no way I'd roll up to a match or a course with something that won't be reliable. That is frustrating. Some guys try to buy their way to success with what they spend on their guns. Not that I'm against buying cool stuff. The glock just doesn't need it IMO.
 
The zev is very nice. And is an option now as well. I'm thinking of waiting a bit on the salient as a few other sources have said they need to figure there sh#! Out. So thank you for that link.

I'd love to buy one of their drop in flat faced triggers after using one. However that changed the very second the roll pin in my friends Agency trigger walked out after only seeing 100 rounds. Reliability fail, I'll stick with stock trigger for now. Their mag wells are really nice though.
