Sam 1911 .45

I have a Commander-E and really like it, I have taken it to the range every weekend for the past 6 months and it has performed flawlessly. I had problems with trying to feed it flat nose bullets but with round nose it has never jammed or failed to eject. Even with the shorter barrel it is accurate and gives me decent groups.
I don't think you can go wrong with a SAM...the fit and finish is great and mine has been reliable and accurate.

Standard non ramped barrel 1911's really were designed for ball ammo....just the nature of the beast. They can be fussy with tc or hp ammo. Sometimes a higher mag catch can help with this....egw makes a good one.

Not to hijack the thread, just a quick question for SAM 1911. I'm new to 1911 platform and wondering if the 1911 Commander models would share most of the spare parts with Gov models e.g. magazines, barrel-bushing etc. except barrel and slide. As a CZ (SP-01) owner, now I want a 1911 in 9mm and have my eye on SAM Commander 9mm, but couldn't make up my mind yet. Thank you.

Good value, well made, accurate, and I had stellar service from wolverine.

I had a stripped grip screw (obviously unnoticed until I changed the grips) and they popped on in the mail, no questions, no issue.

I side by side compared a sam1911 norinco1911 and I will say the sam was hands down. The fit and finish on the sam was way above the norinco. If your thinking of getting one look inside the reciever, look in the magwell and the feed ramp, they are very nice on the sam, the norinco had machine marks on all of them. I had a norc and sold it, even had an armco trigger job, i actually regrett selling the norc as I was just getting to like it, but I changed my focus on shooting.
