Just curious if any SAM 1911 owners have installed a FO front sight? Does anyone know if the dovetail is a more standard size than the Norinco?

I recently had a FO front sight installed. I got it from Fusion Firearms as they advertised that the sight was cut to fit the typical import (Phillipines) dovetail. Needless to say the gunsmith ended up having to do some fitting.

Turns out that the sight I chose was a bit too tall and I have a shorter one coming from Fusion.

I think both.
I went with the. 21 front but could not get a 6 o'clock sight picture. I have a. 16 on it's way.

gunsmith didnt mention specifically what it took to fit my FO front (brazos) but he did say EVERYTHING needed way more fitting than usual... so safe to assume it did too
