For the price of a conversion kit, just buy a gsg1911. They are reliable, accurate, and the same size and shape as your sam, just a bit lighter so it can cycle the .22 rounds. They only run 400-450ish too. Much better option in my opinion.

Or just buy the gsg conversion kit for 300ish, its the slide weight that matters not the frame

Also any conversion kit for the 1911 will work with it

this is the best way to go it's what i did
i have a SAM 1911A1 9mm and bought a GSG as well

Most conversion kits work with .45 only and would require you to change out the ejector if its a 9mm.

government models still fit there is just a gap between the dust cover and slide.
