SAM 9mm, some cosmetic changes and not only

Polished some parts, installed new trigger with adjustable reset. Still waiting for a Tokarev barrel :)

Excellent video. Your cartridges appear to be the same length as mine. I use the identical magazine, too.

I suspect that your loading tool allows the ammo to go in at a steep angle, to make it fit. I have the same tool, so I will try that.

My pistol has a light hammer spring to make a very light trigger. I bought a heavy spring to ignite military primers. If I can make the ammo fit the mag, without having to seat it deeper, I will consider changing springs.

But I subsequently bought one of those Polish Toks and found that it shot milsurp ammo remarkably accurately. So I might just leave the 1911 alone and shoot the Berrys 110 carbine bullets in it, or the 96 gr SWCs. With that ammo it is a effective target pistol.
 
OP - did you refinish the SAM, or is that how it came to you? The flats look much more polished than mine does, and I'd like to know the what and the how if you did it.
