SAM Handguns

Any more SAMs coming in? Just looked at your web site and all out of stock on all models???

Thanks for pointing that out, we seem to have an intermittent problem with the web page as it is now showing some in stock, which is correct, as we have approx. 16 left. The next shipment is due to arrive mid Sept.

Check out post #100. New 2016 price list is on this thread.

OK, will do. But what about my other question?

Will anymore stainless commanders in 9 & 45 be available in the future?

If you're out of stock, why aren't more coming with this shipment?

edit: also, looking at the price changes, why is it that some pistol prices have increased dramatically while others are relatively unchanged?

Some prices are unchanged due to stock on hand. SAM are no longer making stainless guns. Prices are set with each shipment.

SAM are no longer making stainless guns.

Well that sucks. Any reason why not?

Does that include the two-tone models?

Why are they listed on the price list? (post #100) You just posted that last month and it was "effective June 14".

And why are all the 'out of stock' stainless models still listed on your website?

AFAIK, the supplier for the stainless frames is no longer supplying the steel required for them. I think it has now carried over to their slides as well, which means no full or two tone stainless guns from SAM.

It's a shame since their stainless guns were gems for the money. I own three and I'm happy I paid nickles and dimes for them when I did.

Well surely they can just find another supplier, no? It seems silly to permanently discontinue an entire line of products just because of issues with a single, replaceable supplier.

They had the same issue with their double stack polymer framed 1911's. Spanish supplier of frames disappeared, and so they discontinued that line of 1911's.

I contacted SAM about this and just received an email back from them advising they have indeed contracted with a new supplier and plan to resume production of their stainless guns for export to Canada "within the year".

Wolverine, I trust that as soon as these are available again, you guys will be ordering in more stainless commanders? Hopefully we'll see new stock of the GI E 45 and Sigma 9 on the website in the New Year...
