From having worked on the SAM pistols I can say that the parts aren't plastic. Just as Mr. Wolverine posted above.

I have three SAM 1911's so you can say I am partial to them myself.At the top is the Military Enhanced in .45ACP, then a stainless Military Enhanced in .9mm, then a Military in .9mm. BTW, there is no plastic in any of them, other than the magazine baseplate.

Nice! I especially like the grips on the stainless one. Did you change the recoil spring plugs on the top and bottom ones? Mine came with a black one (Enhanced in .45).
