I had recently replaced the factory FLGR with a new one. The original was painted at the last 1/2 inch where it sits up against the link.
I did notice that the factory guide rod wad slightly shorter than the new one I installed. The new FLGR would not allow the bushing to rotate. I had to remove the slide to install it. Anyway with the new FLGR installed my groups more than doubled in size.
I put the old one back in and the accuracy returned to what it was previously.
Does this mean that the longer new FLGR was somehow affecting the barrel lock up?
I would like to understand how the FLGR could impact the accuracy.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
