does anny one have anny idea where I can get a good sand bag for the but of my rem?

I live in Gatineau and I took a look at Lebaron and they don't have it in stock and don't want to order it

Make one. Go to a discount fabric shop and buy a yard of remnant denim or other cotton(ask the nice women who work there. They're used to guys asking questions.) and sew it into a bag with a draw string or large flap on one end. Fill it with sand at your range(if there is any) or buy a bag of sand at Home Depot($6 or $7 for 66 lbs). Rice will do as well. Don't let a bag of rice get wet though.

If you're a shotgun shell re-loader, use the sack the shot comes in. Sew about 3/4 of the bag closed, pour in the sand you can buy at any lumber store, sew it shut. Simple, fast and the right size. I'll take a picture and post it if you like.

I tried bought ones and ones I made myself. I made one out of a green army sock and used poly beads from a craft shop. It is very versatile, more so than a suede bag. The poly beads are very light and unaffected by moisture like rice, split peas or even sand.

I cut the leg off an old pair of jeans and just closed the ends with cable ties. I actually use it more than my fancy leather store-bought ones, because I was able to tailor the density just right.
