SAP6 comp vs Derya Anakon AV-100 help?

Hey guys, I've been eyeing these shotguns for a little while now. Just curious if anyone has any first hand experience on them? (Whether it's 3 gun, general playing around, shooting clays for ####s, patterning with chokes with bird shot, magazine availablity and reliability, built quality/longevity etc)
I've also considered other mag fed pump shotguns as well, but these seem like a nice compact package. I've looked at the Uzkon pumps before, they seem similar.
If anyone has advice/suggestions or even better alternatives, that would be awesome!

I had a SAP 6. For a little while.... Bought it new, it suffered from action lock constantly, and the top rail fell off after 125 or so rounds.... I also was not able to remove the barrel on the shotgun either. It was very very tight, seized or something. The way the Turks attached the top rail was absolutely laughable, a 15yr old could design something better. I returned the Shotgun for a full refund, which the dealer was very good about delivering.

That being said, if u can get a SAP 6, and make it work, it would be an exceptional shotgun for 3 gun.
 
That's what I was thinking as intended use in all honesty. The fires/evacuation here in McMurray this summer put my 3-gun dream on hold until next year. But yeah, I wanted something with chokes, high ish capacity, and honestly...the mag fed options really appeal to me. (Ps...if I did go for those pump action large 10 or 11 round mags, how wise would it be to run a micro chest rig for them?)
 
Most guys who are running the 11rnders tend to couple them up using custom (i think) mag wedges, and then place those in a large HSGI tacos mag pouches on there belt, at the back.

Ive been eye balling mag fed shotguns for a year now.... I would honestly suggest looking away from the SAP 6, it will save you A LOT of frustration, especially considering its price. Ive been looking at the Brixia PM5's for a while now, many say they are very soundly built shotguns, but the mags for them are ridiculously expensive. I know a guy who recently modded the cheaper SAP 6 mags to work in his PM5, and i think that has been going good for him.

the biggest thing holding me back on the PM5 is the short 14" barrel, and impossible to find choke system they all seem to come with. If I could find one in a 18+" barrel id buy it in a heart beat!

Another option I may witness next summer is the adaptive tactical system, which my 3 gun partner may try on his mossy 500.
 
When I was getting geared up for 3 gun with my SAP 6, my plan was to just keep the 11rounders in a dump pouch.... less work, and very cheap, I think I was able to hold like 5 mags in one dump pouch (most of which were the 6 rounders, I planned to always start off the match with the one 11 rounder I had inserted into the shotgun)
 
aahhh ok ok gotcha! I've never heard of that shot gun before, the Brixia...looks interesting, ill read up on it tomorrow at work haha. I've read things like that before happening to the sap6...I was hoping that would have been fixed (ish) by now...bummer.

So, there's the Anakon av100, sap6, and I haven't seen them on S&J in a while, but the uzkon (?) as-46's....ah well

I got one. Problems are:

1. Top rail is coming off. I plan on drilling and tapping the rib into the barrel in 2 or 3 more places then use locktite only on the screws (and front bead) which are in the barrel, not the receiver so I can still remove the barrel.

2. Trigger pins drifting out under recoil. Uncool. Need to get some kind of captive head screw affair much like on after market Remington 870 trigger pins.

3. Stock keeps loosening up. A lock washer should fix that.

Looks cool but too slow for 3 Gun. Get a semi auto if you want to be competitive or use the Sap6 if you want to look tacticool

Not a true statement. The 11 round mags (If the gun is cycling proper) is faster then a 6 round shotgun that cycles fast. Most targets in three gun are not lined up in a nice row where you can capitalize on the semi auto. If there is any sort of transition from one target to another you can pump it in the time it takes to swing the barrel over.

The biggest problem I have seen. Is that the SAP is simply NOT a reliable gun without modification. BUT if you can make modification to it, it is a very fast system.
 
I own a sap6 but have no experience with a Derya Anakon AV-100. It looks identical to the sap but just dressed up in plastic. This is the first year that I have used a sap6 for 3 gun and some 5 stand. I have done some modifications and it improved it function but I still had some malfunctions on my first 3 gun match but I still managed to come first. The second 3 gun I had malfunctions on every stage so it was getting frustrating. I was able to work out what was happening and resolved my problems mostly and my 3 and 4 match went very well. The more trigger time I got the better I got with It. I still get malfunctions but I am capable of clearing them in a quick amount of time that I don't loose the advantage of the mag feed. I am happy with it that I will continue to use it. That just my experience with it yours may vary but at least you heard from someone that used one for several 3 gun matches and gave it a good go.

Here is my action camera video from my last match. I placed first in open class in this one. even with a few mikes and 1 procedure I still got the fastest stage times on 3 of the 4. The closest semi auto tube feed guy time was 26.22 seconds more and he placed first in another class. My point is that the mag feed can be faster.
 
I had this same question last weekend and went with the Derya. I could find a few reviews online for the Dagger SAP6 and virtually nothing for the Derya but I heard pretty good things about Derya from FOC and the guys at Target Sports so I went with it. For the price, which was $450 given Target's shotgun special, I think I got a pretty slick shotgun, 3 chokes, 2 mags, and rail mounted handle and sight.

I picked up the 18.5" barrel because I hope to bring this into the US (Form 6NIA submitted) and the 14" wouldn't be permitted. But with the folding stock of the 18.5" I think it's actually a fair bit more compact. I've put about 15 shells through it so far and did find some jamming but attributed it to my inexperience with it (and shotguns in general) and probably slow, ineffective pumps.

For the price I think it's a good package overall.
 
Oh, and all the ads and postings say you get 2x 10 shell mags, but I couldn't get 10 in there. Best I could fit was 9 and Derya actually says it's 7+1 so I'm a little confused by that.
 
I ended up getting an Uzkon as-46 and (lol can never just have 1 new toy) a Balikli BS 12 semi auto. I'm hopefully going to play with them both this weekend! :)
I was trying to get some info on chokes and magazines on the Valtro pm5 from WestRifle but they didn't reply to email and no answer when I called/left msg. So I just bought something else from somewhere else, horrible I know...i suppose I was just too antsy ��
 
If anyone ever has any issues with their SAP6 simply contact us. Repair rate is under 2.5%, all others report 100% functionality.
