My bad! I meant UNAUThORIZED possession of a live round will lead to severe penalties. Are you sure? Aside from having to store their guns at a range, they can apparently own any type of firearm they want according to their version of our firearms act, including automatics.
+2 We tried a couple years ago, the higher ups wouldn't budge on their position, even though it would be completely legal to own in Canada
do you think it would be a waste of time to ask again??
alot can happen in a few years, could be a management change
maybe they could use some export$$...
just a thought

They do have very restrictive laws. Permits and guns are expensive and only the rich can afford to own guns. Ironic, for a little country that has one of the most modern military force in the the region, like the Switzerland of Asia that civilian ownership is so curtailed.

If your cousin was in the SAF and you're not, did you skip the draft then? Or were you old enough to still use the M16?You couldn't have said it better. That's where I came from.
I'm not saying Singapore is a bad place, but the amount of freedom we have here in Canada is amazing! On a more related note to the SAR-21, my cousin that was in the SAF had nothing but great things to say about the SAR-21.
