Got this beautiful young cow opening day of antlerless moose. Only took me 12 years of Super-A to get drawn in Zone 6. And I got to take the wife along for her first hunt. She went and got her hunter safety this summer while I was away drilling, so its going to be an exciting whitetail season!

Nice moose. Very good of her to accept your invitation to spend the winter in your freezer.

Always get a kick out of seeing those pictures of moose out in the middle of a grain field.

Yes, it's kind of like gopher hunting. But if gopher hunting produced that much moose meat, there would have to be a draw system for gopher tags.

Nice moose, but it really isn't moose hunting unless it takes about 8hrs to get out of the bush.;)

I made that mistake with my first moose. 36 hours to get that bull out of the bush. I'm much more selective about where I shoot them now. I think we had her dressed out and loaded up into the truck in about twenty minutes.

LOL..so true.

Dogleg is also right on the money. I spent 2 weeks in muskeg, 4 pairs of boots wet, muddy everything, stuck quad, scratched truck, took a prop off the boat, $1600 in fuel. NO moose..fun YES. oh almost forgot, I got lost.
