If you are hoping to hunt certain big game species this fall, you should plan on getting your Big Game Draw applications in before the May 31, 2010 deadline.

This year, all applications for the Big Game Draw must be submitted online. Paper applications will not be available. All applications must be made through the Big Game Draw Online Application System at http://secure.gov.sk.ca/biggame. If you require assistance in completing your online application, please call 306-798-4000.

Anyone wanting to hunt mule deer in 2010 must apply for a licence through the Big Game Draw process. Hunters should be aware that there will be no draw for either-### mule deer licences in zones nine and 45. Those who wish to hunt either-### mule deer in zones nine and 45 must apply for antlerless mule deer for these zones through the Big Game Draw. To be eligible to purchase an either-### mule deer licence, a hunter must submit two antlerless mule deer heads from the same zone for chronic wasting disease testing, known as the Earn-a-Buck program.

Please check the 2010 Hunters' and Trappers' Guide or visit our website at www.environment.gov.sk.ca/hunting for more details on the Big Game Draw for 2010. The guide will be available online by mid-May.

One thing I noticed is the line that says anyone wanting to hunt mule deer must enter the big game draw. So I guess the archery mule deer tag is gone?

The link to the 2010 synopsis is also broken, it takes you to the 2009 guide.

Sounds like another money grab to me,buying an over the counter archery tag worked well I thought.I guess this way they get another 7 dollars out of the archery hunters.
