After hearing about the delays in several other provinces, I have to compliment the Sask CFO staff on their efficient service.

The last two transfers that I did this week took only a few minutes. After the seller emailed me the transfer number, I called in to the 1-800 number to verify the purchase. Then I called the provincial CFO and they completed the transfer while we were on the phone. Then the fax spit out the transfer and ATT. The process couldn't work better than that.

My last transfer for a 1911 bought from a store took 5 weeks and it wasnt an online purchase it was for pick-up!!!!!. Im acctually holding off on buying anymore restricteds for now cause when I buy something I usually expect to have it soon. Not a month and a week later after i gave my money away

They're on the ball sometimes that's for sure. Sold a restricted in the last little while....from start to finish took 3 hours or so from start transfer, buyers part, and confirm good to go. Would have mailed it that afternoon if I'd known it was going to be that quick.:)

Of course, I've had an sks held up so I'll hold off on the x-mas card for now.:p

Just bought a .44 magnum from an online dealer, transfer took less than a few hours with the BC CFO. Probably would have taken less had I called in.

It seems that the farther East you go, the longer the transfer times get. Wonder why??

After all, it IS the same process in Ontario as it is in Alberta.
