I was wondering if anyone could help give me some directions or general area to go for black bear, preferably as close to saskatoon as possible. My friend and I are wanting to make a trip of it this weekend, possibly thinking about places like spirit wood or around laaird on the edge of that forest there. Any thoughts?? We have checked out narrow hills and saw nothing. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks..

you could try north of nipawin, if you get up into the logging roads you should have some luck. I've never hunted for bear, but have run into a few while moose hunting up there. Also ran into the biggest black wolf i've ever seen @ about 40 yards out
