Saskatchewan big game draw

What is all involved in hunting in Saskatchewan now? being out of province.
Used to do that - had a brother in Manitoba and brother in Alberta - Dad would just get "Canadian" licence for them, and we were "good to go". I lived / hunted most of my life in Saskatchewan - moved here into Manitoba when I retired from work - we "boys" were considering to have a "reunion" hunt in Zone 46 - nope - new improved system requires out of province hunters to apply for tag via draw - application in Spring - no assurance to get drawn - hard to make concrete plans with those rules. Hunting deer there, again, was not the main part of it, but was likely a "big" part of it.

Pool status has changed on the sask hunt/fish app for some. We’ll have to wait until next week to see which zone my sons moose tag is in.

My brother and I got drawn for Mule deer in his home zone but there are much fewer there than a couple years ago. We were in B pool by the way which means not many people put in.

I got nothing but I wasn't expecting anything seeing as I got Either Six Elk in 2025, E/S moose in 2024 and E/S mules in 2024.

I guess there is a slim chance to be drawn for Goats being in the Legacy pool , but everyone who started putting in for goats in 2015 and hasn't been drawn yet are all in Legacy pool now. I imagine there's 35 or 40,000 of us in line for the miniscule amount of goat tags.

I seen this guy numerous times in 2024 when I had a tag; but his location was his saviour. And I imagine if he hasn't died of old age he's probably still in the area
