Saskatchewan Goose Company - Glaslyn, Saskatchewan - Fraud

The vast majority of outfitters in this area are nothing but a bunch of scumbags. I kept hoping the border would remain closed so they go bankrupt but no such luck. Fortunately more and more landowners are shutting them out each year. Maybe one day the greedy scumbags will be out of business.

Funny you posted this. I have had a grand total of two very poor dealings with outfitters over the years; both were in the Battleford, Sask area! Two different guys, different hunts...both crooks. Never anything like it anywhere else inside or outside Canada.

Maybe it's something in the local water?

I think it comes from drinking slough water... LOL

Paul Beasley

In addition to filing formal complaints with various agencies, I wrote the two television shows that aired hunts with Saskatchewan Goose Company and asked them to pull the episodes so no one else got screwed by Tyler Mann.

So today I got the attached email from Paul Beasley of Canada in the Rough.

Hi Charlie, I have spoken with Tyler and been advised that he is refunding your deposit. I am sorry to hear that you have had an unpleasant experience
as our time with Tyler and our dealings with him have been nothing short of fantastic.

Hope you're still able to find that waterfowl hunt you're dreaming of as a western waterfowl hunt can be truly amazing.

And guess what, I got an EMT right away from the Mann for the full amount. Thankfully I have auto deposit and it went right into the account (funny how he had my email...). Still holding my breath that it wont be yanked out for lack of funds at the other end but I dont think it would have gone through without the funds in the account.

I was going to call the RCMP tomorrow and file a theft / fraud complaint but guess I wont have to now. However, I am going to get nasty on his facebook page.

I did write a thank you response to Mr. Beasley for his efforts - he could have easily done nothing. Amazing what going to one of his "promoters" did, seeing as the Saskatchewan MOE and my efforts didnt pay off...

Glad to hear you got your refund and that the Beasley's did something other than just promote themselves and their sponsors. I quit watching their show years ago. I find it mind numbingly boring as I do most hunting and fishing shows any more. It's just all about commercialism. I cancelled all the hunting channels a couple years ago and do ot miss them in the least. There is much better videos that can be had without the commercial aspect on Youtube by regular Joe's like us posting our hunts. I prefer that to the commercially sponsored TV garbage..

Your right - most of them are trying to sell their sponsors products. there are a few I like, the Primos series and some trapping shows. By chance I caught the two episodes from 2 different shows that had Manns operation highlighted - I rarely watch CITR and almost never watch Homegrown Hunter.

In all fairness, CITR did something, I never heard back from Homegrown Hunter....

I talked to the guys at CITR a long time ago at the Toronto sportsman’s show.
Personally I wouldn’t give them the time of day...

But I’m happy for you that they put enough pressure on the scum that he refunded your money

Light up his FB page!!!

I am very glad to hear you got your money back. Persistence pays. I live near Glaslyn. My family farms/ranches in the area and have for generations. The problem you had does not surprise me. We have had many many people hunt geese and ducks on our land in the fall. People from everywhere including many locals and quite a few Americans who come and hunt on their own. We have a family from North Carolina that comes every October. A fellow from Texas came for years also until he became too old. You do not need a guide to hunt, it just makes it easier, I guess. If you ever find yourself out here in the fall it is not too hard to find a place to hunt. Just find the birds and respectfully ask the landowner. Very few will turn you down.
