Blair Mitchell, who is a Boone and Crockett official measurer, completed the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation score sheet for the bull and the animal had a score of 421 5/8 gross for non-typical elk. Mitchell said afterwards that it was an “honour and privilege to put the tape on the largest wild bull elk I’ve ever laid my eyes on.” The animal has the largest mass of the 72 non-typical bulls in the Henry Kelsey Record Book. It will also be entered in the Boone and Crockett Record Book, under both typical and non-typical elk.

Yeah! My brother at Grande Cache took out the stairs to basement, and then cut out doorway to rec room down there, to get his wrestled in - 6x6 - shoulder mount... Like the man said, Priorities!!!

If I ever took something like that I would build a shrine around it. Lol... Good old Sask sure can produce antlers.

Going to have one hell of a time getting the mount into his house!!

Cheers,
Nog

A friend in Saskatchewan who knocked down a tremendous sized bull elk. He had a big living room, but a standard flat back shoulder mount would have pushed the nose out past the middle of the room! Instead he made a 90-deg shoulder mount so the antlers were as vertical as possible. The result was the mount didn't monopolize quite so much house space.
