Saskatchewan

Nice lookin' place.

Which direction does your slope face (aspect)?
I'd have to go get the compass lol since moving from the coast my sense of direction messed up. The front of the house and yard gets sun all day. The carport side doesnt untill the end of the day. Its the sunny side of the mountain

Just rolled thru there last week scouting for my sons zone 2E elk tag. They’re dry,dry and dry down there this year.
I love that country but live up north, love it here too for different reasons.
You’ll need to keep your cgn membership for an occasional fix of wokeness. The families that stuck it out down there are a special breed of stoicism and toughness, salt of the earth.

After calgary dumps their raw sewage in it.
Used to camp on the NW branch of the old man just down from the falls and on white creek, although dutch had the best fishing.

Quit once they upgraded the trunk road, understand it's paved now. :(
Calgary doesn't drop raw sewage into the river. Calgary opened their first wastewater treatment facility in 1933.

Vancouver opened their first wastewater treatment facility in 1963.

Montreal opened their first wastewater treatment plant in 1984.

Remember these facts next time some NDP hippy wants to talk about Alberta environmental issues.

Planning a move to Saskatchewan. Looking around the Swift Current, Maple Creek, Kindersley area. One of the 10 or so acre homesteads subdivided from a farm. A few available. Just started looking. Probably not enough to hunt on. And all the fields look private. Where do you hunt? Sounds like lots of Geese. Deer?
Grew up in the area, most land is private, get to know the land owners, carry a rm map, ask for permission and you’ll be good. Lots of antelope, mule and white tail populations have went down in the past couple years, geese depends on if there’s any water. Good luck
