Saskatoon?

Delisle Thompson

Hey does anyone know if Delisle Thompson Sporting Goods is still around in Saskatoon? I bought my first shotgun and my first handgun there. I also spent a lot of time there talking to Randy and learning about reloading, shooting, hunting, etc.. Just wondered what happened to it and if it is still around.

It has been gone for quite a few years now. I think that Randy is working for a gun company in the states now. That store had a lot of goodies in it for the size of it

Wow - Deslisle Thompson - That sure brings back memories. I think I bought my first 12 Ga there, a Rem Wingmaster, that I still use.

Ha, that is what I bought way back when from Delisle Thompson. Now my son wants it. I told him that was a place where you could stay and talk guns all day and nobody minded.

Delisle Thomson--the first dealer I bought a gun from--1967--he is long gone--Randy Bimson bought it and made my first custom rifle--Jim Dugan and Craig Douglas both worked for him before he sold out and went to work for Brownell's--since moved to Midway.--best gunshop Saskatoon ever had--many regretts that it is gone.

Randy was the nicest guy to deal with. His wife and son knew your name after the first visit, and the service was the best.
Does anyone know how to contact Jim Dugan in Saskatoon? I see a few rifles he's built pop up once in awhile.
