saskgunowner101 's dumb question of the night...

I suppose next year I might stretch the butchering out over a few days, starting the day I get my deer. Boy was that an affair, glad its over!:)

First couple always are an affair. After a while you'll be able to cut and wrap and be meticulous about it and still be done in less than two hours. I had 6 deer to do at once last year and it took me two evenings to get it done. The commercial vac packer makes life a lot easier.

LOL....we do a deer in under an hour.....get a little more practice and you'll be an old hand at it!

I probably spent more than an hour saying WTF is this! I had a video kicking around on how to butcher deer, so I spent a lot of time mid progress determining whats what.

There's no doubt next time will be a lot smoother, maybe I spent too much time fooling around with separating the different muscle groups or whatever. I think it was worth it though.

I might weigh my harvest later to see what the total is. It was 95 pounds before I de-boned it.
