Just had a great visit to the SASS Convention in Las Vegas, lots to see and interesting seminars on all subjects from shooting style, maintenance, Victorian Clothing etc. The vendor hall is a place one could lose a lot of money (and this is without Vegas gambling), and did I lose some. Oh, if we could easily import firearms, show specials, i.e. on 1873 44.40 rifle US$850.00, otherwise prices did not seem that different to here. Indoor shooting champs, they were using wax bullets and primers, worked quite well with the tell tale “Ding” as the target is hit, amazing to see all this going on inside a hotel. For tourists quite a sight all these cowboys and ladies dressed to the best, wondering around, at the same time there was a Rodeo Champion Ship on so three different conference centers with cowboy stuff (modern) on sale, and many rode cowboys around town. Meet too other Canadians there one I knew from Toronto, and one I know from Calgary from Guns of the Golden West. Attached are some picture and a link to a low resolution 5 minute video.

I saw this on American Shooter the other day online... I was quite impressed.

It looked like it was a blast! Did you go to the Scarlet Ball and take part in the shooting competition?

Hi, no did not do the ball, as too much to take all the clothes with for myself and the wife, as spent another week on holiday in Vegas, and would have added another US$150.00 to the trip. Did not enter the competition either, as I am no were near a top shooter, but it looked like a great experience, maybe next time. The show was great.
